RIOTING IN LEMBERG. 5 - MILITARY CALLED OUT. Received 9.20 a.m. BERNE, June 14. Serious riots occurred at Lemberg on Saturday. A huge crowd looted the provision shops and military food waggons. The police were powerless and the military was called out, and made an enormous number of arrests. The authorities have asked for four thousand additional soldiers to keep peace. The situation continues serious. CONFLICTING accounts from RUSSIA. , ANTI-LENIN FEELING SPREADING. Received 9.20 a.m. LONDON, June 14. The Daily Telegraph’s Russian messages indicate there is a widespread anti-German feeling. It is significant that the most divergent sections of the Russian public are uniting in s national platform, including the Monarchists, who are favouring an understanding with Germany, and the Loyalists, who are demanding a renewal of the alliance with the Entente. All insist on the necessity of overthrowing the Soviets. Moscow reports indicate that the Don Government has commenced the re-establishment of the army on the old basis. Meanwhile fighting continues at Tzaritzyu. the Cossacks gaining the upper hand. Conflicting accounts are received of progress of the Czecho-Slovak movement, which is decreasing. On the other hand it is admitted that the Czechs have blown up Several bridges and hold several sectors of the transSiberian railway.
