MAN CHARGED AT BOW STREET,. Received 9 a.m. LONDON, June 13. A man named Jonas was charged at Bow Street that on various dates between September Ist, 1913, and 10th. June, 1918, he conspired with Charles: Vernon and others to contravene the Official Secrets Act by obtaining and communicating for purposes prejudi. cial to the State information useful tothe enemy. Jonas, who is a weakly old man, In* peared to feel the position very keenly. He employs hundreds of men In' steel works ,and was a most generous donor to the Sheffield University. HG has several sons holding commissions; in the British Army
