RED CROSS APPEAL. Received 10.30 a.m. MELBOURNE, this day. In the House of Representatives, Mr. Tudor's amendment on the War Loan Bill was negatived by 30 to 23, and the Bill was read a second time. Empire Day celebrations were transformed into an appeal for funds for the Red Cross, which was enthusiastically responded to.
