THOSE STABLES.
To the Editor. Sir, —In reply to Mr. Parker, re the stables at the back of bis premises, 1 would like to remind him of the great campaign that was started in Wei, lington, “Swat that fly.” Mr. points out the unsightly wooden fence* etc., opposite the band rotunda. Well-,, I believe Mr. Parker has had that place for some time and I am sure it is handy enough to his premises for him to keep his eye on to keep clean. No matter how clean Mr. Parker keeps his stables I still maintain that even the back of his premises from a health point of view is not the placd' to "have stables. Not only is Mr. Parker’s stables handy to that fly, but also to' a fruiterer next door. However, I will not enlarge on the subject, aa Mr. Parker admits that the Health Inspector is a thoroughly capable man, and the rule of three will point out to Mr. Parker that he is wrong in Ms contention;—Health Inspector capable man; Parker’s Stables, flies; health (pure air). Answer: No stables, no flies. —I am, etc., v PROGRESS. ~
