ITALIAN FRONT.
ITALIANS DEFEAT AUSTRIANS. LONDON, May 22. An Italian official message states: We defeated the enemy, who twice attacked the southern slopes of Sassorosso. Our thrust in the direction of Fener inflicted considerable losses.
We carried out a successful coup de main at Mount Seninoncia, almost destroying the garrison and lines. At Caposile, Allied airmen downed nine aeroplanes.
