AFTER THE WAR. LONDON, May , 13. In the House of Commons, Mr. Bonar Law stated that in view of the probale shortage of raw material after the war, and the necessity for providing for the requirements of the Empire and allies, the Government intended to follow the example of the French Government, and denounce all commercial conventions, continuing a general clause regarding ‘most favoured nation” treatment. “THE KING’S CERTIFICATE.’’ NEW HONOUR TO DISCHARGED SOLDIERS. i or- ■ Received 9.10 a.m. LONDON, May 14. The War Office announces the award of a special certificate of honour to be called “The King’s certificate,” on discharge to all ranks (except officers) of the army, navy, and force discharged through wounds, and disabilities incurred on active service, or through other enemy action. A second certificate of discharge will be awarded where recipients of the first voluntarily re-enlist and are discharged. The Dominion authorities wall issue a certificate to former members of the Australian, Canadian and New Zealand naval forces, and the AccountantGeneral of The Navy to members of the Malta, Newfoundland, and General Naval Reserve.
