The War Office announces the award of a special certificate of honour to be called “The King’s certificate,” on discharge to all ranks (except officers) of the army, navy, and force discharged through wounds, and disabilities incurred on active service, or through other enemy action. A second certificate of discharge will be awarded where recipients of the first voluntarily re-enlist and are discharged. The Dominion authorities wall issue a certificate to former members of the Australian, Canadian and New Zealand naval forces, and the AccountantGeneral of The Navy to members of the Malta, Newfoundland, and General Naval Reserve.
