HOW HE WAS CAUGHT.
He was a smart man with a smart wife, but the latter was just a little bit too communicative with a neighbour. Having got the cute advice of a resourceful friend, this man ‘doped himself so as to delude the doctors on their first medical examination when he went forward as a reservist. He appeared to have a dilated, heart, or something of the sort, and was put down as a C2. It was unfortunate that ho confided'to his wife, for she gleefully related all the' -circumstances to a neighbour. The latter communicated with the military authorities, who hastily summoned the astute “ccldfooter” to a second medical examination, with the result that, he is now in camp. He professes to be ah outraged individual who has not been fairly dealt with. Why. he inthe submarine to stop, and this order told in the first instance that he was a fit man?
