SWEDEN AND THE ENTENTE. ARRANGEMENT IN SHIPPING. Received 8.45 a.m. STOCKHOLM, May 5. The Finance Minister stated Sweden will receive a quarter of a million tons of corn, 300 thousand tons foodstuffs, and a quantity of other vital necessities in exchange for hiring' 300,000 tons of shipping lying in foreign ports, to the Entente Powers. A NEW APPOINTMENT. Received 9.10 a.m. STOCKHOLM, May 5, The "Dagblad" states- negotiations are proceeding for the appointment of Duke Adolf of Mecklenburg-Schwerin as the King's official.
