! f-. , 5 .AUCKLAND, day. 1 The King of Tonga died on April 5 of consumption. His daughter, Princess Salole, wife of the Governor of Navua, was proclaimed Queen next day. Fifteen Fijian natives, followers of the new religion, who are making Saturday and Sunday both rest days, were sentenced to imprisonment, one to eighteen months, on charges of seditious utterances. ■ The Legislative Council of Fiji resolutioned to offer further assistance in men and money to carry on the war.
