BRITAIN'S MAN POWER
Received 11 a.m. LONDON, April 19. Members of the Government support the feeling in the lobbies in favour of a definite promise that the men over forty-seven shall not be called until October unless a vital national crisis occurs. The Sinn Feiuers’ Conference issued a manifesto denying the right of any external authority to impose conscription. The passing of the ManPower Bill must be regarded as a de. duration of war on Ireland and a direct violation of th e rights of small nationaltiets. Adding “We invite all to resist by-the most effective means possible.”
