OBITUARY.
MRS. C. J. DILLON. . There will he extreme regret felt in every part of this district ac'the demise of the late Mrs. Dillon, as she was very widely-known throughout the whole of this territory. The utmost sympathy will go out to Mr. Dillon in his irreparable loss, and by which his three young children are rendered motherless. Mr. Dillon is one of the oldest settlers in this district, coming to Taihape when he was only 15 years old. For several years he was engaged in the coaching business and in mail-carrying, subsequently he went in for farming and latterly he combined farming with sawmilling. Mr. Dillon built the first stables in Taihape—those now known as Kelly’s Stables. He married the late Mrs. Dillon about 12 years ago, who has been taken while only 33 years of age, leaving three sons, aged respectively 9, (5, and 2. The funeral will leave Mr. Dillon’s residence in Rongowlki Road, at noon on Monday, for the Te Kapua Cemetery.
