GRAND CATHOLIC BAZAAR.

The grand bazaar that the Catholics of the -whole of this great territory have been working and preparing for many months past is to eventuate in the Taihape Town Hall, with the first day of the coming month, at the commencement of a most fitting season This bazaar is 'in aid of the Catholic School Fund, therefore, with a supremely important object, and with a time when it becomes a duty to give materialised consideration to such good purposes, it should provei one of the most successful functions of the kind over held in our town. The promoters of the bazaar are not shirking even the smallest matter that will contribute to the public’s convenience and enjoyment. Taihape Catholics are noted for their thoroughness in pieparation, and for the excellence of their submitted programmes of entertainment, and it will be gathered from the announcement that the coming bazaar will be above the average in that respect. Stalls wall be artistically arranged and daintily attended; the range of goods offered will be marvellously comprehensive, every degree of usefulness between extremes of useful and ornamental. Afternoon tea and also supper rooms will be open for the 'refreshment of day and night visitors. The entertainment programme includes vocal and instrumental items, an exhibition of dancing by k/iss Blomfi eld’s pupils, and a Tug-of War Competitions for which prizes amounting to over tw r enty pounds are offered.
