PALESTINE.

A TERRIBLE STORY. KUT GARRISON'S TATE. LONDON ,March 19. In the House of Commons, Major Hope stated that 3236 officers and men of the Kut garrson had not been heard of since General Townshend's surrender. The authorities state that it is practically certain that all died ■ ing their hundreds of miles march across the desert, where no provision was made for food, shelter, or medical treatment. All were weak owing to the privations of the siege, Many were suffering from dysentery, and doubtless fell out on the march and died by the wayside. About fifteen (?) British were included. All efforts to get information from the Turkish Government has failed. BACK TO PALESTINE. LONDON, March 19. Jewish units will, as far as possible be utilised for fighting in Palestine.,
