WANGANUI EDUCATION BOARD.
The Board met on Wednesday, whem the following business of interest to. this district was transacteh:
The Senior Inspector was asked to report on an application for a school four miles from Mataroa.
It was decided to apply for a temporary addition to : the school at
Turangarcre
The annual meetings of householders were fixed for April 22.
It was decided to offer the head-
mastership at Raetihi to a tpacher on leave at the front, and to leave another position open for a returned soldier *
The Chairman congratulated 1 -Theteachers on the excellent result of the teachers’ examinations, the results keying a long way the best jet experienced in the district.
