LONDON PRODUCE MARKETS. HIGH COMMISSIONER’S CABLE. WELLINGTON, March 12. The High Commissioner’s market report, dated London, March 9, is as follows, quotations, unless otherwise specified, being average market prices on spot; Meat—Wholesale maximum prices of imported meat have been raised, and are now tbe same as English; mutton and lamb 1/1, beef 1/OJ. Supplies consist chiefly of imported mear. Buttet* and cheese; No change since last report in actual demand, witn short supplies. Supplies consist chlSfly of Argentine and colonial. No stocks of French, Danish, or Irish on the market. Hemp. —The Manila hemp market Is steady, and fair business is being done. New Zealand continues in active demand if shipment has already been made. Business cannot be done in forward shipment. Wheat and oats. —Market quiet, but steady. No change in prices.
