KING'S THEATRE.
■ Td-nigbt a new programme will be shown at the King’s, when that fine Metro drama, “The Mortal Sin” will be screened, when the rising star, Viola Dane, will take the principal character. In this thrilling drama .this rival of Mary Pickford has one of the greatest opportunities of her career, and she has taken the fullest advantage of it. The part of Jane Anderson Is replete with dramatic strength, and gives this versatile actress a chance to display her great emotional ability. There will also be two comedies and a Gazette. In addition to the above Charlie Chaplin in “Easy Street” will be repeated. Those who saw this laughable comedy last night will welcome the repetition. EVERYBODY’S. It is doubtful if a greater personal success has ever been registered in a photo-play than that which Miss Mary Miles Minter achieves in the 'emotional drama “Faith” which is to be screened at the Tow r n Hall, to-night. The story of “Faith” is an absorbing one, and keeps the audience fascinated from beginning to end. The plot- turns on the abduction of an infant. She Is placed in an orphanage, and when able to earn her own living is hired as a servant to a very wealthy family. A robbery takes place, and she is accused of the theft_ At the last moment a young lawyef, Mark Strong, takes up her case, resulting in one of the strongest dramatic sensations that have ever been seen. The closing scenes in the court are very pathetic. It is in this scene that Miss Minter achieves her greatest triumph. The production is a lavish one, some of the scenes in millionaire’s homes being magnificent. The supporting programme includes a funny comedy. “A Matrimonial Shock_ ” and a Western drama “The Hills of Glory.
