LAWLESSNESS IN IRELAND.
INDICTMENT OE THE ADMINISTRATION. LONDON, March 4. The Grand Jury at the Clare Assizes passed a resolution expressing indignation at a state of lawlessness, intimidation and outrage being allowed to grow up in Clare. It blamed the present Irish Administrations for notorious neglect of the most elementary obligations of a Government, and protested against the unfairness of the Administration’s attitude towards the Irish Constabulary and troops, who were often compelled to passively look on at the most illegal proceedings. ORDER IS RE-ESTABLISHED. Received II 5. LONDON, _ March 4. The presence of military resulted in re-establishment of law and order in County Clare. Claims amounting to £IO,OOO have already been filed for damage through illegal ploughing and cattle driving.
