GERMANS WORK AGAINST PEACE

The 11 Matin ’s” Stockholm correspondent had an interview with Samenoff, who said the Germans at Brest Litovsk from the beginning systematically hampered peace, Herr Hoffmann, with cynical frankness, showed him a map of the future German frontier, which only, left the Pinsk marshes to Russia. The Russians thereupon broke off negotiations. The Soviet declared that the frontiers must not be traced with the point' of the sword, but by the will of the people. Separate peace between Germany and Russia was probable. Russians should regard it as a misfortune. He did not expect resumption of hostilities by Russia. The German people .disavowed its Government and refused to fight against Russia. He considered that the Ukrainians had betrayed Russia.
