WELLINGTON. January 14 Following is the High Commissioner's market report, dated London, January 12 (quotations unless otherwise specified being average market prices on spot:
Meat—The demand is in excess of the supply for all descriptions of meat, notwithstanding increased supplies of home-killed mutton and beef and Argentine beef, all SP H ing at the maximuni price. New Zealand lamb. Argentine mutton, and Argentine lamb, small sup : plies, brought ll§d.
Butter.— The Government is releasing margarine to supplement, the small sup. Plies of butter available. Partly owing to prices being under Government control, imports of Danish, Dutch, and French butter have almost ceased. Cheese—Cheese continues in active demand, owing to small supplies. Wheat and Oats.-The market ift quiet, with no change in prices.
