Private Ray Karris (son of Mr J. G. Harris, Raetihi) has been-lnvalided but is remaining in Wellington for further treatment. His case has excited immense interest, among the medical faculty, a spinal injury resulting in paralysis only from the Knee'-down-wards. En voyage to New Zealand the hospital ship was boarded by a party of U.S.A. arm3* surgeons and the peculiarities of Private Harris's injury attracted popular attention from them. Of late the patient has been progressing satisfactorily and the doctors are very hopeful of a complete restoration.
