KING’S* THEATRE. “The Reward” is a novel and strikingly original dramatic story that might be termed a “study in female psychology,” showing the wordings of a woman’s mind and soul in facing the big problems of good and evil in her life. “Is it worth while?” or, as the slang term has it, “what’s the use?”. is the question forced upon a girl—has virtue a reward? Is not the “easy way’ ’the best way after all?” — are some of the problems she faces fairly and squarely, and it is the most unexpected cause —unexpected but perfectly logical—that decides the right answer for her. The picture is a Thos, H. Ince production, featuring the great favourite Bessie Barriscale. These names are now so well-known that the mere mention of them is sufficient guarantee of the quality of the picture, and in this particular Instance the combination makes for one of the most Interesting offerings of the year. I could hardly do better than quote the criticisms of the wellknown writer and author, Louis Reeves Harrison, who said: “The Reward” is an interesting and attractively presented s'tory, dealing with one of those peculiar young women who seem to know neither the logical nor moraL imperative, “Thou shall not.” ' The picture is given added strength by , the remarkable interpretation of Bessie Barriscale in the.lead. There will also be, shown the . 12th, episode of “The Mysteries of Myra’.! “Gazette,” “With the French' Army,” “By the Sad Sea Waves.” The programme will be shown positively for one night only, ' .
