MORE COMPACT AND BETTER
ARMED,
ROME, Dec 4
Signor Orlando, Premier of Italy, in an interview, said that the Allies had concluded their conference, .and would be more compact, better armed, and stronger from a military point of view. Italy had responded superbly after her reverse. The courage of the ar my was unimpaired, and it had held back the advancing flood. Nevertheless . the arrival of the Anglo-French troops had produced an excellent impression.
