The picture- ; is ; entitled "The Pride of the Clan," and features Mary Pickford in the leading This production was made by Maurice Tourneur, noted French producer and artist He is a master of artistio detail, and in this production he has shown effects and a' finesse that are without an equal As the little Scotch, lassie, and head of the MacTavis£ clan the part gives Miss Mary Pickford numberless opportunities for registering all the different emotions of which she is capable, making Marget; ah irresistible character. The scenic effects in this picture are truly magnificent, taken as they were from Marblehead, one of the rockiest bits of! coast along the eastern shores of America. The effect is unmistakably; Scottish. If the people that inhabit the island of Killean are not Scotch "bred and born," then they're a good imitation. With their weatherbeaten faces and worn old Tarns t-heg look as if they had never left the island in their lives. As a whole the picture is delightful, absorbing, and in parts extremely thrilling. Though seven Teels in length, not for one moh ment does the interest flag and the' spectator draws a satisfied sigh ag the last scene fades, which, after all, is what you want.
