SIR DOUGLAS HAIG’S REPORT. ENEMY ATTACKS REPULSED. LONDON, Nov 20. Sir Douglas Haig reports: We improved our positions slightly during the night north-west of Paschendaele. We repulsed an attack on certain advanced posts north-east of Polygon Wood. Our machine "guns this morning caught other parties approaching south-east of Poelcapelle. The majority were kilied or prisonered. The enemy raided trenches last night east of Gouzeaucourt AT VERDUN. LONDON, Nov 20. A French communique says: On the right bank of the Meuse, in the region of Chaume Wood, we advanced appreciably and inflicted losses on the enemy. An artillery duel continued lively hereabouts.
