) TAIHAPE SITTING. A sitting of the First Wellington Military Service Board was held in Taihape en Tuesday and Wednesday, before Messrs D. G. A. Cooper D. McLaren and W. Perry, when the following cases were dealt with:— Thomas McGlanaghan, farmer, Rangiwahia, re-hea?ing.—Classed C2. Richard William Sullivan, farmer, Tangitu.—Adjourned from August 28th.—Classed C2. Hugh R. A. T. Hollis, farmer Mangaweka, appealed on the grounds that he was not a reservist, and that •he is a discharged soldier. —Appeal allowed. T. A_ Cameron, farm assistant, Mangaweka, appealed on all grounds.— Classed C2. E. Bougen, farrier Taihape.—Adjourned from August 23th, now adjourned sine die. R. S. Hamilton shearer, Waiouru.— Adjourned hearing, now classed C2. G. F. Zohs, farmer, Mangaweka, appealed on grounds of public interest and undue hardship. Both parents were German. J. Casey, shearer, Taihape, appealed on ground of public interest.— Leave granted till February 6tß. T. R. Martin, slaughterman, Taihape, was classed as CI, and leave granted till 16th January.
A. Andersen, bushman, Ohingaiti; employer's appeal.—Classed CI and leave granted till February 6th. L. R. McGregor, farmer, Manui, a re-hearing, as was formerly clased as C2. Appeal dismissed, leave granted till February 13. Joseph Simpson, farmer, Kaweka Road, Taihape. Re-hearing, originally classed as C2. Now classed CI and leave granted till February 6th. -F R. A. White, draper, Taihape, appealed on grounds undue hardship.— Adjourned till January sitting. C. Batt, barman, Mangaweka. Appealed on ground of undue hardship. Classed as CI and to go into camp on February 13. W. J. Bas-hford, printer, Taihape. Appealed on ground of undue hardship.—Financial assistance recommended by the Board. Li. M. Brooky, storekeeper, Mataroa. Appealed on ground that he is not a reservist.—Decision reserved T. Gill, dairy farmer, Omatane. Appealed on all grounds.—Adjourned till January sittings, to apply to Returned Soldiers' Bureau. V. C. Nicholls, motor garage proprietor, Taihape. Appealed on ground of undue hardship.—Adjourned till January sittings. T. B. Swenson, farmer, Mataroa. Employees appeal on account undue hardship.—Adjourned sine die. G Stratford, shop assistant, Hunlerville. Appealed" on account undue hardship.—Financial assistance recommended. Si E. Sinclair, employer's appeal •withdrawn, and will go into camp on February 6th. H. F. Loye, farmer, Mangaweka, appealed on grounds of public interest. —Adjourned sine die. , William Cameron, ploughman, Moawhango, appealed on account undue hardship and public interest.—Adjourned sine die.
