AMUSEMENTS

THREE STARS At the Three Stars to-night will be screened a picture something different from anything hitherto exhibited here, "Frou Frou" was a sensational success of the Parisian stage, and its film version by the W<jrld Film Corporation is a splendid success. The outstanding feature of the production is the acting of Alice Brady and Gerda Holmes as the two sisters, ,one a frivolous butterfly which wifehood and motherhood canont alter, and the ocher a righteous but tender-hearted fc-.ave to duty. The story is full of strongly emotional scenes, and Alice Brady is supremely good in the delineation of the agony of the wilful girl-wife whose wrong-doing causes much irreparable mischief to those she loves. Special mention must be made of the acting of Ray Carrar ? as George, the charming child of Frou Frou and her elderly husband. He is perfect and no lesis. Good photography is noticeable throughout the whole drama. There is also a Keystone comedy, entitled "His Last Cent." • The programme wil be shown to-night only; EVERYBODY'S There will be a double star programme at Everybody's to-morrow, one of which will be the picturisation of Emil Zola's masterpiece, entitled "The Man and the Woman." The original story, which aroused the whole world to discussion when it was first published has been followed closely in the adaptation, only the locale being changed from Paris to New York. This will be the first of Zola's works screened in and is bound to interest and thrill those who witness it. The second star bears the title of "Voice in the Fog," and is a 5000 ft feature of intense interest. In addition to the two stars there will be a comedy "Ballads and Bologna," a Travelogue, an Australian Gazette, and an American Gazette. The programme will only be screened once, and it.is.of such outstanding interest that it should not he missed.
