ITALIAN FRONT.
A BIG ATTACK COMING. LONDON, Oct 24. A correspondent at the Italian Headquarters says that practically the whole of the Austrian army is now on the Italian front. There are also strong German reinforcements. It is apparently intended to attack Tolmino with a view of forcing the Italians to abandon the Bainsizza Plateau and retire to the Isonzo. GERMAN OFFICIAL REPORT. LONDON, Oct 24. Wireless German official:—The French did not continue their attack on Chemin des Dames. We made a combined attack on the Italian front making progress and taking some thousands of Italians prisoner.

TWO FRENCHMEN ARRESTED. j Received 11.40. I PARIS, October 25. M. Lenoir, formerly proprietor of Le Journal, and M. Desouches, a wellknown solicitor, have been arrested. Before 8010 Pasha invested one hundred and twenty thousand francs in Le Journal, Lenoir and Desouches, fn July, 1915, purchased shares valued at £400,000. Hcembcrt, suspected in connection with the enemy, fought them out with Bolo's money. Lenoir and Desouches are now charged with trafficking with the enemy, as Lenoir has given contradictory accounts as to the origin of the money.
