A FRENCH COMMUNIQUE. Received 10.25. LONDON, Sept 14. A French communique states; After violent bombardment the Germans, at dawn, attacked our easemates on the plateau. The enemy was driven back with heavy losses, after a hand-to-hand fight. A wireless German official stales: We drove the enemy out of the wood section northward of Langemarck, and prisonered numerous English. We penetrated the French lines westward of Ouignincourt, taking prisoners. SIR DOUGLAS HAIG’S REPORT. LONDON. Sept 13. Sir Douglas Haig reports: Enemy raiders entered our trenches eastward of Bullecourt, but were driven out. We repulsed a strong attack northeast of Langemarck with heavy enemy losses. We successfully raided in the neighbourhood of Oppy. FRENCH COMMUNIQUE. LONDON Sept 13. A French ‘communique says: The artillery duel continues to be violent in the region of Bixschoote. Our artillery north of the Aisne is dominating the German batteries, which are very active. German aeroplanes bombed Dan kirk. FRENCH PUSHING ON. LONDON, Sept, 13. French eastern communique.— We have reached Mulista, on the west bank of Lake Ochrida, and took a lull tea kilometres south-west of Mulista.
