Subscribers to papers have fallen from 1 500,000 to 762,000. . 5 ’ THE POPE'S FEARS. NEW YORK, September 14. The United Press correspondent at Rome reports that the Vatican fears a serious political struggle in Germany regarding the reply to the Pope. Admiral von Tirpitz advocates combining with the Mecklenberg leaders in the formation of a “ war to the hilt ’ ’ party. Trouble is brewing between Germany and her Allies, Austria, Bulgaria and Turkey demanding a right to approve of Germany’s reply to the Pope, PEACE ADVANCES TO GERMANY. A GERMAN STORY. AMSTERDAM, Sept. 13. The “Vossiche Zeitung” says it is asserted that Britain has made peace advances to Germany. The "Vossiche” declares that the announcement jsxplauis the violent movenXnts on the Berlin Bourse. It suggests that financiers sold stocks to small holders, who are more susceptible to reports. HUNGARIAN PEACE MOVE. BERNE, Sept, 13. Hungarian church dignitaries and many; Conservative deputies are arranging meetings throughout Hungary in favour of immediate peace.
