TAIHAPE STOCK YARDS.

The people of Taihape, as well as the farmers of the whole surrounding district will appreciate to the full the improvements that are being made, and are to be made in the near future, to the Taihape stock saleyards. The auctioneering firms have let a contract for concreting the floor of the whole yard area. Of course it cannot be all cemented at the one time, as by not drying in time it might cut out one or tw r o sales, but ,one half is being finished while sales are conducted on the untouched part ? and when the concrete is dry sales will be held on it while the other half is completed, rendering the whole of the cattle yard area ready for increased yardings as the season advances. Particular attention is being paid to drainage and sanitation conditions generally, bringing the Taihape yards well in the van of the best of the kind in New Zealand.
