FOOTBALL MATCHES

m The public are reminded of the football match to-morrow between the Euia and the Pirates Football teams. The Huias have a strong team picked including Chase, Takarangi and Johnny Ngatai who have played regularly for the Pirates'. The Huias also included some notable Pakeha players including Harry Dashwood( Bert Collerton and Tom Barry. On paper the Huias look the stronger side, the Pirates backs especially being very light but if they make the game fast and open from the start their dash should counterbalance the weight of 'thteir opponents. The Pirates have not suffered defeat on the local ground yet and it would appear as if they will have to exert all their skill to-morrow to retain the unbeaten record.

The gate will go to the Red Cross per the Taiteape—Maori residents, who will take tie* collection at the gate.
