ENGINEER’S REPORT The following is the Engineer’s Report for the month of August: Te Kapua Riding.—Numerous slipsand washouts occurred earlier in the month, but are being repaired as rapidly as labour can be obtained. Fair progress has been made with contracts on Otaihape Valley Road. Awarua Riding.—This riding suffered more than any other during theheavy rains, and much still remains, to be done to repair the roads. Owing to slips and floods in Kawhatau, I have been unable to inspect the sites of the proposed bridges on Rangitane Road. Erewhon Riding. .Road s in this Riding have suffered a good deal ( and' are at present worse ithan they havebeen for some consideroble time.
