AWARUA GUN CLUB.

A meeting of the Awarua Gun Club was held in Mr. A. M. Ryan's office last evening,i there being presentMessrs J. Whittle (chairman) \Belk, Gilchrist, Beban, Cotterell, Bradley, Shout, and Ozanne. After discussing the previous match, it was resolved that the proceeds be presented to the Taihape Women's Working Club. The valuable services rendered by the trapper, Mr H. J. Banks, were unanimously applauded, and it was unanimously decided to present Mr Banks with a case of pipes as a token of the Club's appreciation. It was resolved to request The Hunterville Club to arrange an inter-club match, to be arranged at an early date. For the next shoot, the President's Match, Mr. Gilchrist donated £5 for first prize, Mr T. Bradley £3 3s for second prize, and Mr H. Belk £2 2s for third prize. The match is to take place on Thursday,M6th August, and Messrs. Badley, Peyton, and Beban were appointed a committee to make arrangements. To be a 10 bird match; nomi natons ss; to start at 1 p.m. The handicappers appointed are Messrs. Whittle, Belk and Ozanne. It was arranged that the Club buy all the cartridges that are available at 21s. Mr L. B. H. De Latour and Mr Stan Peyton were elected members of the Committee.
