PROGRESS IN THE CHOTIN SECTOR. LONDON, August 8. A Russian official message reports: In the region of the confluence of the Zbruch and the Dniester, wc captured the villages of Barychkovcy and WTynoda and heights westward of the lastnamed village. We repulsed attacks north-westward of the Sereth, in Moldavia. The enemy occupied two heights westward of Dzemkne and southward of Sotchi. We retired eastward on both sides of the Kimpolung road, in the southern Bukowina, while tlie enemy pressed us back northward of Bisigestchi. A VALUABLE SEIZURE. ARCHIVES OF THE SECRET POLICE.
