TE KAPUA NOTES

A mistake was made some time ago in* a paragraph referring to Rifleman Louis Weeks, wounded in France and back again to the firing line. It should have read: James Weeks (another brother) as being wounded and recovering, back again to the firing line, and Louis as seriously wounded with two ballet wounds in the abdomen, was in Brockenhurat Hospital. However, at latest the pleasing news has been received that he has been removed from the serious cases. Harold Weeks, killed in the same battle, had just previously written wishing to specially thank the Te Kapua Red Cross people for useful parcels sent him He had written cheerfnllj, but at the same time expressed the hope to be soon again in New Zealand, as all indeed wish ' the fearful business over and look to the time “When the Boys Come Home.” Private “Ted” W r eeks (another brother* sailed last week with the 28th contijbgent.
