PAY AND PENSIONS. RECOMMENDATIONS TO CONFERENCE. * WELLINGTON, July 1 The conference of the Second sion League to-day report of a special committee onSHHfsubject of pay and pensions. The ciffiPfittee re* commends 5/ a day, the samPras for the men of the First Division and a separation allowance of 5/ a day to wife or sole dependent, 1/(3 per day for each, child, and to a motherless child 2/6 a. day extra, allowance to a wife who ig a chronic invalid 10/ per week extra, to a chronic invalid child 5/ extra, pensions to widow with children £2 16/6, to widow without children or sole dapendent, £2 5/6, to each child 10/6 a week, to a motherless child 17/6 extra, allowance to a wife who is a chronic invalid 10/, to a child of a chronic invalid 5/ to totally disabled soldier (single or married) £2 a week in all ranks, wife or sole dependent £l, to be increased to 2 16/6 on the death of the soldier in case of a widow' wdth children, or to £2 5/6 if the w y idow is without children, each child 10/6 a week, motherless children 17/6, chronic invalid wife 10/- extra, chronic chiIJJS/ extra_ Age limit of benefits to ehiramen, males 17, females 20;
