FOOTBALL MATCHES

Much interest is being taken in the football match between the Maoris and Pakeha teams to be played on the Recreation Ground tb-morrow afternoon at 3 p.m. B’oth sides are strongly represented and there' will be g keen struggle for supremacy. The following are teams: Maoris.—F. Pini, Murphy, H. Chase, Iwikau, Winiata, Takarangi, Hartley, Salmon, Winiata, J. Pini, Wilson Sullivan, Panga, Raioroa, Marekau Waka. Pakehas.—McSweeney, McDermott, Windsor, M. Johnstone, Collins, J. Corbett, Campbell, Wilson, Feasey, Maher, J. Murphy, W. Murphy, Munro, Eaton. The proceeds from the match will go towards the Taihape and District Patriotic Fund, and it is expected a large attendance will he recorded. Prior to the football match a running match over a distance of 120 yaTdff will take place between two wellknown Taihape sports.
