AMUSEMENTS.
EVERYBODY'S. The new entertainment offered patrons of Everybodys to-night is headed by the William Fox production "Carmen. '' Carmen was a beautiful and dangerously fascinating gipsy girl. She led a young officer on to commit murder for her sake, then left him for other conquests. He was a Spaniard, with all the powerful passions of his race. He lay in wait for her, and had the satisfaction of feeling his knife slipping into her soft flesh. To Miss Theda Bara, star of the Theatre Antoine, Paris, falls the honour of creating for the moving picture public the role of the volatile Spanish heroine, and under the direction of Mr. R. Walsh, the noted producer, she has far surpassed her previous screen successes. The story is beautifully told, and the theme, known world-wide as one of the great love lyrics of all time, is graphically portrayed. In addition to this star attraction the eighth episode of the circus serial "Peg O' the King" will be shown, also the "Australian Picture Gazette" and a sterling comedy "A Mortgage on his Daughter."
THESE STARS. Mary Pickford and her husband, Owen Moore, have not appeared together in many pictures, and never rbave they had such an opportunity of portraying roles so suited to their personality and histrionic abilities as* in the delightful old fairy legend "Cinderella," which is the premier attraction at thtx Three Stars to-night. The Famous Players director has introduced just the right amount of comic relief without front the story proper, and has included a number of novel effects that add much to the entertaining powers of the picture. The staging, dressing, and scenic effects are fliost pleasing, and through the whole picture runs the endearing charm of trie little actress whose spark of genius fiTs endeared her to million's. Parents who take the little ones to see Cinderella will find themselves following the fortunes of the ugly duckling who became a princess with as much interest as the children themselves. • In support of the above picture will be a fine Metro picture, "The Snowbird."
