AMUSEMENTS.
EVERYBODY S. The La sky phot6-pplays interpreted by the Famous Players Company are pleasing pictures, clean and wholesome in presentation and portraying told and connected story. They invarf' ably possess that heart interest which is the principal attraction to the pietiro theatre-goers. "Heleiie of the North," which i s now being screened at Everybodys, is a film which embodies all these points of excellence. Marguerite Clark, the film favourite of young and old, appears in the leading role, and she has with her an impressive cast df well known players. Tt is a delightful storv. and the 'many beautiful scenes wherein the 'leading incidents are set contribute grea : t!ly to the charming nature of the films. A varied selection of either pictures screened comprise both humorous and topical subjects. The programme will bo shown for the last time to-night.
THREE STARS. A large and appreciative audience last night witnessed the screening of the new Maurice Cos.tello production, the "Crown Prince's Double." old favourite has lost none of his charms as a picture actor, and in the "Crown Prince's Double" he is at his best. A picture of interest to motorists is one of the most daring ones that has ever been put on the screen entitled "Through the Deat-h Valley" on a Dodge car. The rest oT the programme is up to the usual high standard and will be "shown to-night for the last time. To-morrow night a splendid Metro, "The Quitter" in six parts, will be shown.
THE NEW DANDIES. The appearance of Mr. Edward Eranseombe's latest Costume ComedyConcert Company in the Town Hall, tomorrow evening, will bo received with pleasure by all who appreciate and enjoy a bright and breezy entertainment. The Company are said to be, equally strong in the Musical and. Comedy departments. Individual proficiency .and general excellence in concerted. work are outstanding features, in the programmes given by these accomplished artists. They are a bright ,and merry combination, and have been aptly called "The Sunshine Brigade." : They have just completed a wonderfully successful season in Brisbane, wheFflmney, appeared nightly for a period of thirtyfive weeks. This is claimed as a record 'for any Company of the .style of "The Dandies." Their appearance locally will serve to prove the that '"The New Dandies" are the smartest combination of their kind yet sent to the Dominion. Excellent singing by the vocalists, and exhilerating comedy by'' the comedians, together with the crispness and brightness which characterises the Company's 'concerted work, constitute an evening's entertainment" which is as hard to "equal as it is difficult to excel. It is said that indents are set contribute greatly to number of new novelties, together with the latest musical successes. The box plan is at Sherwin's.
