FAREWELL SOCIAL.
On Sunday evening the friends of Mr Cornelius Sullivan assembled at his parents' residence at Ohutu to bid him farewell before leaving for,,the Front. During the course of an enjoyable,.evening songs were rendered, : ,by.,Mr. E. Tory, Mr H. Henry, and, others - and as a keepsake in remembrance.: of . his many,friends the soldier was presented with a very handsome .and. useful set ■of pipes. The, family .. has made a great sacrifice for its country, this being the last son, but one, who is engaged in farming in the King thus leaving the aged parents whoare both over the age of 60 years;, on, their own to manage their dairy farm at Ohutu.
