The "New York Times" Washington corrQspdent says that Returns of three States yet to come, the actual registrations total 950,000. Army officials arc hopeful that the men will be drafted by July 1, and will be in camp by September 1. The latest estimates of the Liberty Loan give the total at 2,900,000,000 dol. Small applicants will receive their full allotments, but the two billions limit will not be exceeded.
AMERICA'S SHIPBUILDING PROGRAMME.

As announced the Government made a contract, for the construction Of an additional ten steel ships and 24 wooden hulls. The total contracted to date is 28 steel, 32 wooden, and steel, 30 complete wooden ships, as well as 48 wooden hulls. NEW YORK, June 18. United Press correspondent at Washington learns that.the Government is fixing the prices of steel as a result of the report that steel companies plan large profits on food ships. The New York Times' Washington correspondent states the Administration asks Congress to provide the greatest air fleet in the world and wants an appropriation of six -hundred million dollars.
