NATIONAL DAIRY SHOW.
'Amongst other attractions at the Show whieli commences on Wednesday r.txt, there will be demonstrations o ff stick thatching by the students of the Government Central Development Farm at Weraroa. The demonstrations will be given in the Wheeler Memorial Sheep Pavilion each day, notice being given on the blackboard in the main entrance. The outdoor events are to be of more than usual interest this year, commencing with the Wanganui-Te Aute College football matches on Wednesday, a long list of horse and pony leaping entries on Thursday, and practically the -whole of Friday to sheep dog trials. This latter is a most interesting item, and it should" prove something of a surprise to those who have never seen a competition of this "description. Another instructive competition is milk testing for boys and girls. This event for which there are some 17 entrants, will be .held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, under the Grandstand. Another item is the pedigree cattle sale in the Cattle Pavilion on Wednesday and Thursday. The exhibition buildings will be as is usual —a very fine sight. All space has been applied for and allotted, and competitive entries in the produce and poultry sections are greatly in excess of last year, so that visitors will have a quite sufficient to ocupy their attention from start to finish.
