DELUGE OF RAIN. SERIOUS FLOODS THREATENED. NAPIER, June 11. SerioTTs floods are threatened. Some 93 points of rain fell in 24 hours before 9 a.m. to-day, and it has been raining heavily since. Breaks in the Meanee River caused by the last flood have not yet been repaired, and unless the weather clears, of which there are no prospects, the flood must oe serious. THE OUTLOOK BAD. NAPIER, this day. Up till 9 a.m. all rivers are confined within their banks, though there .is considerable surface water about. Train traffic between town and Hastings is suspended, there Being two feet of water on the line between Farndon and Whakatu. It is still raining henvily and the rivers are rising rapidly. The outlook for the lowlying country is bad, us the sea is blocking the rivers. There is no sign of the w*eather clearing.
