AUCKLAND, this day
A man named John Botting was found dead in a hut at Hnatai with a severe wound on the breast, evidently caused by a knife found alongside the body. Lionel Manning, Handiman, aged 30, launehman. was drowned at Oponani, through falling from his launch.
FISHING BOAT MISHAP.
AUCKLAND, this day
The wreckage from a fishing boat was found at Piha, on the West Coast. It is believed to be that of a boat belonging to Joseph Gruten, of Onehunga, who states she carried two of his fishermen—William McKinn, married, about 35 years of age, who has three or four children; and Edward Wilson, married, carpenter by trade, with three or. four children. ,„»
