MARSHAL JOFFRE'S TRAIN DERAILED. BELIEVED TO Bfi AN ACCIDENT. NEW YORD, May 7. Marshal Joffre's train was derailed at St. Louis. Nobody was hurt. It is believed to have been an accident. LATER PARTICULARS. Received 10.15. NEW YORK, May S. Investigation into the derailing of Marshal Joffre 's train at Areola, Illinois disclosed the cause to be the accidental breaking of the rail. The French missionaries were shaken, but not hurt. Joffre and Viviani were showered with bouquets, as vases of flowers were flung in profusion around the interior of the car. A LOAN TO FRANCE. Received 10.15. WASHINGTON, May 8. A loan of £20,000,000 sterling has been raised to assist France. AMERICA'S FIRST DRAFT. NINE ENGINEER REGIMENTS. WASHINGTON, May 7. Orders have been issued to mobilise nine regiments of engineers to sail shortly for service in France.
