Fine weather has intensified activity on the Italian front. Snows are melting Tn the Trentino. Half a million peasants and soldiers have been engaged constructing roads, trenches, and dug-outs along 500 miles between Switzerland and the Adriatic. The Italians have everywhere equality of guns. It is believed their artillery is superior on the Isonzo front. Italian aeroplanes are rapidly developing. They have deprived the Austrians of mastery of the air. Newspapers continue to insist on the pressing necessity of an Irish settlement, also the immediate rationing of breadstuff's, particularly as the Food Controller states that stocks of maize, oatmeal, barley, rice, and flour are unobtainable in sufficient quantities to be used as wheat substitutes; therefore they must be used sparingly as bread.
