GOLF NOTES.
A committee meeting of the q- a j. hape Golf Club was hold last nidit Present: Messrs D. Ncaglc '(chairman), P. E. Wakeman (Hon. Sec.), H Hesketh, A. M. Ryan. G. Bray, VV. j. Munro, W. Kelsall, S. Behan, and j Evans. Apology for absence was received from Mr D. Champion. The bank balance stands at £53 6/7. It was decided that a cony , 0 f Incorporated Rule No. 38, which reads “Subscriptions shall be due and payable to the Honorary Treasurer on the day of the official opening cf the Club in each year; and in the case of new members within one month from date of election, and no member shall be eligible to take part in any club competition other than those arranged for the opening day, until his or her subscription is paid.” It was decided that open orders be given for all • competitions, but that trophies be to the satisfaction of the (committee. A proposal that the) question of engaging a coach be held over until after the war. on the score of economy was lost and it was decided that the secretary ascertain from various professionals their charges for a visit and lessons to members of the club. Permission was granted to a number of members to instal in telephone in the club shed, the expense cf installing same tc be borne by the individual members interested. The committee decided unanimously that the ball branding machine be left at Air. D. .Neagle’s shop, that place being most convenient to the majority of members. .
