MISSING RECRUITS
ORDERED TO PARADE
A Gazette Extraordinary was issued on Friday, containing the names of nearly 500 men who have failed to
parade. Many of these recruits have i not received their individual notices i owing to the addresses given on their j National Register cards being faulty or insufficient. The Military Service Act provides that in these circumstances the missing men may be notified in the Gazette to parade at the Defence Headquarters of the military district in which they ar e registered. The recruits w-hose names appear below are ordered to parade for medical examination in their districts at 10. a.m. on May 4th: Hayes, James, navvy, Horopito. Macavergny, B. P., firewood cutter, Hihitahi. Rowlands, H.E., Engine-driver, Manunui. ..Wilkie, Alexander, millhand, Manunui. Burnham, R., contractor, Ohingaiti. Hirdner, R., station hand, Hunterville. Neil, B. R., carrier, Taihape. Hickey, W. E., labourer, Taihape. Hobday. W., bushworker, Taihape. Crear, R.W., bush contractor, Taihape. Reilly, J., shearer's cook, Hunterville. Hall, T., Farmhand, Hunterville.
Niven, J., farmhand, Mangaweka. Wadey, A. H., bushfeller, Tailiape.
