He brings out monthly figures concerning Births, Deaths, and Marriages, Criminal Prosecutions, Cost of Living, Imports and Exports, Mining, and a host of other subjects. Bead this concerning Taihape:—■ 8 I I I S 8 I 8 8 8 8 :| I .1 SINCE JULY 31st 1914 Taihape Meat Prices have increased by - - Mm 51.58 per cent. Groceries have only increased by 16,31 per cent. But, taken all round, Taihape is second highest in cost of living in a list of 25 towns. However, these figures show that it is not because of grocery prices; indeed Taihape owns to the LOWEST grocery price-in eye as e, with the exception of Hew' Plymouth,! which is 16.01 per cent. How' in seeking the reason for this low increase in Grocery prices, we say, and with due modesty, that it can be attributed to BENNETT'S CASH TRADING POLICY Our plan of buying and selling for Cash, and cutting out the old-time wasteful credit system has cut Grocery prices down: and dowm.
