A wager is ; made, and Steve finds plenty of adventure very quickly. He receives a note from Count Marinoff to whom he has sold stock, and goes to the house. Here he receives a note from the Count’s beautiful ward that she is in dreadful peril. On attempting to save her he is boand and .gagged by the Count’s butler. After more adventure be is released and his friends explain that they have provided him with the promised thrill. Just here four of Steve’s cowboys arrive, and with their aid, the tables are speedily turned on the jokers.
